LG unveils (Gen Cool) inverter air conditioner

LG Electronics last week released another of its innovative products in the Air Conditioner genre of home appliances. Tagged Gen Cool, the product is expected to bail Nigerians out of the harsh climatic condition and inability to effectively use Airconditioners due to poor power supply.
This is because in producing the product LG said, it took these situations into consideration and therefore made it possible to operate effectively with the lowest capacity generators found among low income earners.
The new cool inverter air conditioner is also said to be truly Eco-friendly spotting refrigerant -R410A.
Managing Director, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. Deog Jun Kim said in Lagos at the launching of the product that Nigeria remains a sensitive market in Africa and need to be given with preference.
Deong said, the new LG Gen cool Inverter air conditioner "is designed for Nigerian Market," he said, "This AC meets the demands of customers who want to use Air Conditioners in Nigeria with small capacity generators."
He said, that in addition to previous products like Plasma, Titan AVS, Mosquito Away air-conditioners among others in the market, the Gen cool Inverter AC, a new energy- efficient solution that allows 1HP AC to run on small capacity generator of 0.9 KVA with Gen Mode is a consumer friendly product.
He maintained that LG's innovative products function well despite erratic power supply or in extreme outdoor temperatures. Surprisingly, the air conditioner features an upgraded power circuit board (PCB) and corrosion-resistant technologies that ensure greater operational longevity. The Gen cool Inverter also provides a strong, dependable cooling system.
General Manager, Air Conditioning and Energy Solutions, LG Electronics West Africa operations, Mr. Junhwa Jeongsaid the product offersLG's inverter Hz control technology and reduce the voltage necessary for startup and reliable op350V operational range. It also enables the Gen mode cool to cope with power surges of up to 500V.
