Things are not looking good for Beyonce and Jay Z. The power couple may appear close on stage during their 'On the Run' tour, but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that they're 'barely speaking' to each other behind the scenes! Could this be the end of Jay and Bey?
Fans were devastated after a new report in Page 6 claimed that Jay Z, 44, and Beyonce, 32, would be splitting up for good when their On the Run tour comes to an end in mid-September. Sadly, HollywoodLife.com is hearing that much of what was reported in Page 6 is true, and that the couple are in fact "not happy" together. So sad!
Divorce rumors have been swirling about Jay Z and Beyonce ever since the rapper's shocking elevator showdown with Bey's sister, Solange Knowles, at a Met Ball after party at The Standard Hotel on May 5. The couple have reportedly hired marriage counselors to accompany them on their joint tour, according to Page 6, but from what we hear, it doesn't seem to be helping.
"They are barely speaking to each other. After they perform they go off separately," a source tells HollywoodLife.comEXCLUSIVELY. "There's a ton of tension, they're not happy. It's all for the cameras."
The Page Six report claims that Beyonce and Jay Z are faking a happy front for the public because it's too late to turn back now. "They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing … This is a huge concert tour and they've already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front," an insider explained to the site.
And according to our source, a recent dinner Beyonce and Jay Z had with Solange at Kingfish restaurant in New Orleans on July 22 was also just for show.
"I have no clue why they ate with Solange, other than to all be photographed together. Bey and Solange are very close," our source reveals. Guess that means Jay Z is the odd man out!
"Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay's friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable," a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY after the fight took place on May 5. "Beyoncé also confronted Rachel and said, 'Don't talk to my sister like that,' after [Rachel] confronted Solange."
