He is a professional chartered Civil/Structural engineer and holds a Master's degree in Structural engineering. He is a corporate member of his professional bodies in time past and of such are Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigeria Institute of Structural engineers, a member of COREN, Institute of Civil Engineer-Uk, American Society of Civil Engineers and many more….Enny has been in love with music since years back when he started learning drums and singing in the church. He actually started as a novice way back in his former church under so many music directors/choirmasters. However, he started his musicalcareer professionally after receiving a touch from the Holy Ghost sometimes in 1999, which gave him power and strength to write lyrics on his own and put them to songs. The gift grew along with age until he found himself recording some of the songs in the studio. To add credit to his work and talent, he had ministered in songs both far and near in various churches, weddings, birthdays, special occasions, couple's night etc.. across the country most especially Lagos, Nigeria with his band and have met with couple of good Nigerian artistes such as Late Pa Sunny Okosuns of blessed memory, Easy Okosuns, Buchi, Psalm Ebube, Mike abdul, Lara George, Kenny saint best, 2face idibia, Kenny ogungbe, Sammy okposo,FunsoAdeolu, Doris Simeon, ARA,Nosa,MojisolaAdeniji, Bolaji Sax,Psalm Ebube,KunleAjayi, Esther Igbekele and many more….Furthermore, his stage name ennyokosun was coined out from my middle name-eni and hisFirst album title 'IN HIS DEATH IS MY BIRTH' is a complete set of gospel/inspirational songs which involves rythms like reggae, highlife, worship which was released in 2010.Being a patriotic Nigerian, ennyokosun decided to drop another hit single titled 'WAVE UR FLAG'  to celebrate our independence in October.  While speaking with Beat FM OAP, Olisa Adibua on the programme, The Truth, Jimmy JATT opened up on his marriage and a number of issues including his journey into deejaying, the many challenges he has been faced with and his career goals.
 He said,'As a DJ and as a guy, where else will I meet a woman, at a party of course, dancing and using steps to attract her' and added that he was faced with many challenges getting his wife as he was perceived useless because of his profession, 'A whole lots of doors were shut on me then and aunties warning ladies to stay away from me because I was perceived a womanizer because I'm a DJ'. 
 He spoke further about his journey into deejaying, which he says was as a result of his exposure to music as a young kid, a trend he blames his parents for. He further revealed he had started as a dancer before his foray into dejaying,'A lot of people don't know I kicked off my career as a dancer. I was heavily into break dancing, although we didn't have a group. We were neighborhood boys pulling stunts'. 
 According to him, his romance with the profession has at many times being threatened by different factors including support, finance and others.'Like everything in this country, frustration sets in. There were times I was stuck between buying a CD or eating lunch. At such times, I'm like…but I got married and things got better and a lot better after my kids came and it got to a point I told my self I'm not even thinking about retiring anymore'
 JATT is today popularly referred to as the godfather of Nigerian DJs.
 He celebrated his 25th year in the profession a few weeks back and launched a biography titled,Avant Gardeand an album, The Industry which had collaborations with a number of music acts.

 Talented music act,Lanre Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, has acquired the ownership of Lagos based basketball team,The Islanders.
 Sound Sultan made the announcement on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Spice Route, Victoria Island when he was hosted at weekly music networking event, Industry Nite.
 'As most people are aware, I love basketball and movies a lot. So I decided why not invest in what you love, which is sport and filmmaking, asides music of course. So I discussed with my family and team, and we drew a strategy and implemented. The result of which you will be seeing very soon.'
 It would be recalled that theNaija Ninjaboss recently completed the filming of a Nollywood flick entitledHead Gone.
 The flick, which starsAli Baba,Hafiz'Saka Oyetoro',Eniola Badmus,Basketmouth,IK,Zack Orji,Wale Ojo,2Face IdibiaandBaorge Tariah Jnr, was co-directed and co-produced alongside Sound Sultan's elder brother, Dare Fasasi also known as Baba Dee.

The UK based pop diva was recently in Nigeria to promote her newly released song, 'What Ya Feeling' which was produced by Ty Mix. She gladly spoke on her relationship with Tiwa Savage, and other female acts. You made an entry into music a few years back, and then you went away, and now you are back, what have you brought back? You left a lot out, I didn't just make an entry and leave, I made an entry, then I came back, went on tours, then I left and came back again (smiles). I don't live in Nigeria, and I made a conscious effort that I wasn't going to stay here at that point, because I see the bigger picture than just putting out music here, being local and not doing anything outside Nigeria. So, while some people decided to stay here, I felt someone had to keep flying the Nigerian flag in the UK and now you can see the proof that we are getting played on daytime radio in the UK, people like myself, D'banj, Fuse ODGand Wizkidall get daytime airplay on London radio stations. It's a bigger agenda than just being a Nigerian artiste resident in UK. I have a team, PR company and booking agent in UK, my foot is firm on ground in UK and that's what I intend to replicate here in Nigeria. The reason I'm back here is because I've done what I can in UK, they know me there, they know the music, now is the time to show the Nigerian community what I can do as well. You recently dropped a new song, let's talk about it? Yea, I dropped a song called 'what ya Feeling'produced by a Nigerian producerTy Mix. We recorded the song in April. With this song, I want to hit people soft, and not come out hard straight away, I just decided to bring out a melodic side of me with this song, and it's been well received so far, no negative comments. Going forward, what should we expect from you? The next song would be 'Work'with a banging video as well. It's a huge dance track and the singing is pretty awesome too. Since you've been away, a lot of new female acts have taken over, so why would I want to, listen to your songs? My songs doesn't sound like any other song you've heard in the Nigerian market, apart from my vocals being unique, my style is very different too, I tend to do music that's 3 years ahead of his time, all my songs from 3 years ago are still relevant today. My new songs now are futuristic too. I don't want to look or sound like any other female artists and that why my hair is'White', I don't dress like anyone of them, so by just meeting me, you'll already see the uniqueness and when you dig in you'll be more impressed. Do you feel threatened by any of the female artistes on ground now? L:R- Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade, Chidinma, Tiwa Savage. Not necessarily, because in other for survival there has to be many of us involved, I never see it as a competition, I know when I started, I know why a lot of females are now here. The likes of Seyi Shayand Tiwa Savagewere all with me in London when I did'Bo Aso Lara mi', so I influenced majority of them to be doing what they are doing now. There always has to be a leader, someone who starts and creates things, and that's how I see myself already. So the style I'm doing now, I guarantee you in another two years you'll find another set of Tiwa Savage doing what I'm doing. I've always been an innovator and you can interview any of them, they'll tell you the same thing. So they maybe threatened that I'm around and not the other way round. You said you once managed Tiwa savage? Yea, we grew up together. She was in my younger sister's class, I'm a year older than both of them and there was this competition we were part I was 12 years old at the time, and I managed the group and sang with them as well, we were five girls in the group and we came out joint winners with a male group. I managed the group till we were about 16. I have everything on film and one day I'll possibly leak the videos (laughs), but I remember Tiwa was always singing, out of all of us, she sang the most while I was more focused on singing and dancing at the same time, she's always been passionate about music. How would you describe your relationship with her now? We still talk; when I'm in town I call her, when she's in London they come to see me. We are not tight as in calling ourselves every day, the music business we are in doesn't allow us to do that, but we are still cool, I'm her older sister. At what point did you know music is what you'll do? I've always known from when I was 3years old, I was always singing along to all the school plays, and I always wanted to dance desperately. When I was 8 years old, it became apparent that I have musical genes in me, I played drums in my church every Sunday, and I just kept at it till I was about 15 years old. From 15, Tiwa and I started doing back up for various artistes; we toured withMary J Blige,Blu Cantrel. And then Tiwa left the UK to study in the states but I stayed back in the UK and I started speaking with record companies about getting signed, and they gave me a task to write three songs. At that time I had meeting withVirgin recordsandE.M.Iwho were all interested in me, they thought I was an awesome artiste and the saw the potential in me. Along the line, I got a job and started saving up so I could shoot a video of myself, and at that time, my only ambition and dream was to get my video on MTV, so I called up my cousin who at that time had not shot any video before. I told him my concept and we shot my first video'Hands up'. When we shot the video, the next thing was to get it on TV, so I just submitted it randomly to a number of TV stations without knowing anyone, and luckily for me the first station to play it wasMTV, I was blown away, I couldn't believe it. Then I came to Nigeria and met with Denrele, he took me toSoundcityto do the Star host and a couple of other interviews, and it just grew from there. I won several awards, went on tour with P square, 2face, D'banj and other. My follow up single'Bo Aso Lara Mi'was a huge success too, and I remember there were no female singers then just rappers, the likes of Sashaand Weird Mc. So I kind of got complacent and decided to go back to London because I was the only one doing the sexy stuffs and all. It was when I went to back to London that Tiwa came to see me in UK, she spent two days and said she wanted to go back to writing music, and we prayed about it, Seyi shay also came to me and I linked them up, I didn't know they were going to come straight way and take over the scene (laughs). Now would you say you have what it takes to claim top spot again? Well, that depends on your perception of top spot, if you talk about talent and the acceptance of the people. For me, if it's based on talent, I already have the top spot because I know I'm multitalented, and there's nothing any of them is doing that I cannot do, but if talk about popularity, it means I need to be on ground, and that's what I'm doing, back in the UK not one of them, not even Tiwa gets any airtime on the TV or Radio, she's going to have to work her butt off to get it, just like I'm working my butt off to get a mention on radio here (smiles). Did you ever consider playing football? For me music has always been number one, and my dad didn't really push me to play football. Did your dad support you to do music? Not at all, not until he saw my second video. He was more about staying in school. And luckily for me he was in Nigeria and couldn't control what I was doing in UK because I'm very rebellious. My mum on the other hand saw so much potential that she couldn't even stop me. And really, my teen was quite problematic, I went through so much pain and trouble, I was assaulted and beaten up in the UK, so my parents expected me to be in Jail, Dead or pregnant, those were the three things I was destined to do, but I had a lot to prove to myself and my family. When my dad saw the video for'bo aso lara mi',he became my biggest fan, and he's been ever since. -NETNG

As you are all aware, the media has been awashed in the past few days about an unfortunate incident involving the movement of funds from Nigeria to South Africa. In the unfortunate news reports, attempts have been made to link me directly with the transaction. So far, I have refrained from making any direct public response pending the time that I would have briefed the leaders of the church and explained my position on the issues to them. I believe that the primary institution that I owe any explanation to is the church. At the risk of being seen to be defending myself, I wish to confirm to the distinguished leaders of the church that the Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft in question is mine. The aircraft was presented to me as a gift by members of our congregation and ministry partners worldwide at my 40th anniversary of my call into the ministry. May I be permitted to stress that the aircraft was not given to me by the President of Nigeria, neither was it a settlement for any political favour or patronage. With the benefit of hindsight, the President of the country was a guest in our church during the anniversary celebration when the jet was presented to me. This has construed an implication that it was a gift from the President of the country. The President of Nigeria has nothing to do with the gift of the aircraft. By the way, I still wonder why all those saying this cannot come out to show proof so that the matter can be put to rest once and for all. Let me say that this might be an issue of the court in the near future "he said He said he was also shocked and distressed at finding out what the private jet which he leased to the company managing it used it for, adding that there is a war being waged against the church in Nigeria "Based on this, I leased the aircraft on August 2, 2014, to a company to run it. It was the lease that entered into an agreement with the people who carried out the transfer of funds. Having leased the aircraft to the Green Coast Produce Company Limited, any transaction undertaken with the aircraft can no longer be attached to me. Inasmuch as I am shocked and distressed by the incident, I wish to appeal to Christians in Nigeria to remember that a war has been waged against the Nigerian church. This war is being fought on many fronts and this unfortunate incident is another dimension in the assault against the church." He said He went further to state that; "The media hype and the deliberate distortion of information that followed it confirmed that forces that desperately desire to cause division and disunity in the church are at work. Even the devil knows that a house that is divided cannot stand. As Christians, we need unity in the church now more than ever. We are witnessing inhuman attacks by religious extremists against Christians in the northern part of the country, while christian infrastructure is being destroyed in hundreds. If we permit the enemy divide us, our chances of corporate survival shall be severely threatened. Distinguished leaders of the church, please permit me to state clearly before God and before all of you here present today, that I am not a party to the movement of $9.3m from Nigeria to South Africa to purchase arms and ammunition. I am not part of the deal. I know nothing about it." he said

There are several versions of the story making rounds, with some having it that the marriage has packed up because Teebillz has turned the singer into a punching bag while another version say the sharing formula of the money the couple makes is tearing them apart. Without mincing words, Tiwa Savage's marriage to Teebillz is indeed troubled but the two are making efforts to patch things up. As at the time of filing this report, Teebillz no longer manages Tiwa Savage and they no longer attend events together. In fact, Tiwa savage now has a new manager that goes to most events with her. And her new manager is a protégé of TeeBillz who goes by the name,Emeka and is otherwise known within the industry asMekka Millions. Mekka Millions has been within the entertainment industry for a couple of years before he got recruited by TeeBillz to join 323 entertainment. Before now, Mekka Millions horned his skills managing several fast rising acts and also currently manages fast rising rapper, Olusegun Olowokerepopularly known as Iceberg Slim. Mekka has been the one picking calls directed to Tiwa Savage's lines and he accompanies her to events and currently acts as Tiwa Savage's manager. However, Mekka still pledges his allegiance and loyalty to Teebillz. In his birthday message to Teebillz on September 26, he wrote, 'Happy Birthday big bro, boss and mentor. According to Sani, 70 percent of the problems were caused the leaders of from the northern region while President Goodluck Jonathan's administration's sectional leadership and neglect of the North was responsible for 30 percent, Punch reports. While addressing sacked and unpaid workers of textile industries in the North who gathered on the premises of the Kaduna Textile Limited, in Kaduna State on Saturday, the CRCN boss explained that the likes of Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Shehu Shagari, Generals Muhammadu Buhari, Ibrahim Babangida, the late Sani Abacha, Abdulsalami Abubakar, as well as the late Umaru Yar'Adua, not only failed to empower the region but left behind trails of poverty, ruining the region educationally, socially and economically. The activist said: "We must take the blame and must tell ourselves the truth. Northern leaders had the opportunity to industrialise, to educate and to uplift the social standard of the region but they left behind a trail of poverty, of discord among people of diverse faiths and ethnic affinities. "For over three decades when northerners were in power they used the opportunity to empower traditional rulers and some religious leaders as well as making the rich, richer and pauperised the common man." Sani stated that President Jonathan only empowered the people of the South-South on the detriment of other citizens of the country and the former northern leaders could not do what Jonathan is doing, which is empowering the young and the Niger Delta militants who are being enriched today. He added that the northerners wasted the opportunity which he believes should serve as a lesson next time when power is back to the region. Sani condemned the ongoing crisis in the North, pointing out that the only way out was for its leaders to embark on rapid revival of its industries, agricultural sector as well as to harness the resources in the region, rather tha depend solely on federal allocations. Sani is aspiring for the seat of the Kaduna Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. Jonathan had at the beginning of the month met with traditional rulers from the North led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, to deliberate on ways to end the sect's activities in the region.

 Premium Times reports that an emirate source confirmed that Hashim, died in Abuja in the early hours of this morning at the age of 79.
 It said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the emirate council has not made an official announcement said plans were already ongoing to fly his corpse from Abuja to Kano for burial at about 2 p.m.
 He said the emirate council is yet to ascertain the cause of the deceased death because he traveled to Abuja himself, but only for them to be informed he was dead this morning.
 Dan Maje Kano, Munir Sanusi, confirmed Mr. Hashim's death when contacted.
 "Yes, it is true," he said. "I'm at the Kano airport expecting his remains because his burial has been scheduled for 2. p.m."
 The late Hashim as the Galadima, was the most senior prince in Kano Emirate and was by birth, like the current emir, Sanusi II, an heir to the throne of the Emir of Kano when the late emir Ado Bayero died recently,
 Hashim's father was not an emir, but his grandfather, Abbas, ruled Kano from 1903 to 1919. Hashim served as a regional minister under the late Premier of the north and Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello.
 The deceased, who was the most powerful member of the Kano emirate council, was said to have been very close to most presidents and head of state from the northern region. He is also said to be very close to the current vice president, Namadi Sambo.
 It would be recalled that one the most prominent traditional rulers of Nigeria, Ado Bayero,passed away at the age of 83 in Kano on June 6, 2014, Friday, at about 4am.

 According to Punch, the state government has set up a coroner of inquest for the purpose of investigating the cause of the building collapse. This was made known in a statement credited to the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, on Sunday.
 According to the statement, Ipaye had instigated the coroner's inquest pursuant to Section 15 of the Lagos State Coroner's System Law No. 7 of 2007.
 The coroner of inquest, headed by Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, has been charged with the duty of establishing the cause of the collapse of Synagogue's six-storey building that killed no fewer than 115 persons.
 Ipaye, who spelt out the responsibility of the coroner, said its final submission might necessitate the institution of a criminal charge against the church.
 The commissioner was quoted to have said, "The law requires the verdict of a coroner, as certified in writing, to be forwarded to the State Attorney General and such verdict may form the basis of criminal prosecution depending on the evidence collected.
 "The coroner in this case is Magistrate O. A. Komolafe, who also sat as coroner in the Dana Air Crash case. He is expected to announce his sitting or visitation schedules and other details and to hold the inquest at the premises of the High Court of Lagos State, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja.
 "In doing this, he (Komolafe) has all the powers of a magistrate to summon and compel the attendance of witnesses, including medical examiners, and require them to give evidence, produce documents or present other relevant materials."

 So wait, if the life of the woman is at stake, she shouldn't abort but pray for divine intervention? I'm totally against abortion, but I also think it's okay to go ahead if you're advised by your doctor to terminate it if your life is at stake.

Mr Ojekanmi who has touched many marriages says not everybody is qualified to marry and empazied he does not believe in divorce too, because the worst marriage is better than divorce.  I don't always come to that point because I believe even the worst marriage is better than divorce. When a couple divorces, it means they have failed. If people view it from that point of view, then it will be avoided at all costs. At the point of divorce, people don't always know the impact. The destinies of the children involved are shattered and many other things are affected.
 From my various encounters with people, I have come to the realisation that not everybody is qualified to marry. For example, someone who doesn't like sex, which is one of the cardinal pillars of marriage, is not a candidate for marriage. Unlike a woman who can make do for a long period without sex, for a man, it is different. Thus, there has to be an understanding. I don't believe in divorce.
 On recommended age for marriage;
 Rather than recommend age, I would rather test the person's level of maturity. At 20, one can be mature enough to get married. The earlier one gets married, the better, because medically, especially for ladies, it is advisable to get married early. There is also the case of people who are getting older and have not gained anything from the lessons life has taught them. It shouldn't be too early however.

 Lagos State Government has reportedly employed 80 female drivers to be part of its Lagos Bus Asset Management Company, LAGBUS, also known as BRT.
 According to LAGBUS General Manager for fleet operations,Seyi Osiyemi, is to empower the female folks who have what it takes to drive the buses while also checking the excesses of the male drivers who are said to be reckless, dare-devil and careless.
 The move is also aimed at encouraging women to have interest in driving the LAGBUS buses.
 We employed the female drivers to encourage the women who have interest in driving the LAGBUS buses.
 These 80 female have started their training on driving from the basics. These ladies do not have driving experience. We will first train them on how to drive car. After that, they will graduate to smaller buses; after which they will learn how to drive the big bus.
 We expect this process to take between 3- 6 months. The ultimate plan is to have them driving the LAGBUS, the red bus.
 It takes a lot of time for people to embrace it. We had about 200 women who filled application forms, so we short-listed and started with these first 80.
 We are also recruiting more males because we are refurbishing 180 buses which will be added to the fleet.

 Tonto Dikeh has sent out her condolences to Tb Joshua and his church over the unfortunate collapse of the hostel quaters which resulted in the death of 115.
 In 2012 Tonto Dikeh credited him with making her quit her smoking habit of 14 years..She said
 "I was watching a program on TV with Prophet T.B. Joshua and he was laying hands on people and praying for them. I love to watch his programs on Emmanuel TV. When he was praying, he said, 'Lay your hands on the TV' and I just laid my hands that day. I actually needed something else from God, not to quit smoking because I loved smoking! During the conflict in the Niger Delta between the militants and the Nigerian Armed Forces, the militants used two names to issue public statements and threats: Jomo Gbomo and Cynthia Whyte. Gbomo has fallen mute since the 2011 Independence Day bombing in Abuja, when the leader of MEND, Henry Okah, was apprehended and put on trial in South Africa. It is Cynthia Whyte that is still talking any time MEND or those parading with the name issue a threat or claim responsibility for some mishap in the Niger Delta to prove they are still active even after five years of the Amnesty programme. Boko Haram under its founder, Mohammed Yusuf, was not more than its predecessor jihadist anarchists led by Maitatsine and "Musa Makaniki" in Maiduguri and Jimeta, respectively in the 1980s. But when he was captured and killed and the original Abubakar Shekau emerged, Boko Haram assumed the toga of a full guerrilla outfit, feeding off sumptuous funding, floating arsenal of the deposed Muammar Gadhafi armoury and internal sabotage in the military and government by Boko Haram acolytes. When the military announced it had killed the original Shekau, Boko Haram mimicked the Niger Delta militants and brought out another bearded figure, which it said, was Shekau, to portray that the military was lying… Unfortunately, most Nigerians chose to believe Boko Haram rather than the army fighting to protect them. Even the media stopped putting punctuation marks after the name of this upstart impostor. The military did not help matters because during the reign of Shekau II, a number of events took place to deflate the confidence Nigerians had in them. The Chibok girls were abducted in the most bizarre manner, with the insurgents making the Borno State and Federal Governments look like common idiots. Boko Haram struck and overran some military and security facilities, killing officers and seizing arms and logistics. Mutinies took place and soldiers shot at their commanding officers, which led to a court martial. The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Aliyu Gusau, threatened to resign over quarrels with Service Chiefs, and Nigerian troops sent to the war front often fled in the face of Boko Haram assaults. In the streets, we fought one another on political party or ethno-sectional basis. All these reinforced Boko Haram under Shekau II and emboldened them to storm out of their hiding places in Sambisa Forest and start seizing territories to plant their comical "Islamic Caliphate" pennants. The Nigerian Army must have realised that guerrilla warfare is more about brains than brawn. It is a mind game. Boko Haram under Shekau II fought us with deft application of mind game, and surged forward. It also took a commonsensical use of wits to snare Shekau II to his end. Our soldiers captured some Boko Haram fighters in the battle of Konduga. They forced them to stage a false victory celebration and invite Shekau II to come and officiate. They laid an ambush and wasted the bastard. The tide of public opinion has now changed. Nigerians now believe the Army more on the death of Shekau II. Boko Haram fighters have lost their nerve and are surrendering. We must keep chasing them right to the gates of hell, as US Vice President, Joe Biden would put it. The war has just gone into a new phase. It may not end tomorrow. Guerrilla wars never end that easily. Unless we press our advantage, Shekau III is likely to emerge. Boko Haram is already using their media acolyte, Ahmad Salkida; to deceive the public by saying Shekau is "alive, hale and hearty". This simply means, "get ready for Shekau III". The killing of the two Shekaus is like cutting off a hydra's head: it will simply grow another unless you stamp it out conclusively. This we must do, by standing together with our armed forces. Vanguard reported that, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, shared divers opinion over the procedure for adopting the 2015 presidential candidate for the party. It was gathered that at the end of the party's National Executive Committee, NEC meeting last weekend, the party was unable to compromise on the issue as supporters of the major aspirants held strongly to their positions. Aside Buhari and Atiku, who were reportedly at the head of the major divisions over the adoption of a consensus or the conduct of primaries for the adoption of the presidential candidate, Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwanso and Sam Nda-Isaiah were also indifferent on the subject matter. Meanwhile, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, whose aide was at the meeting was reported to have been mute on the issue since the governor is yet to officially declare his intention to run for president. According to a source within the party, Buhari and his supporters want a consensus on the ground that majority of the party positions across board were filled with consensus. They posited that if the consensus arrangement is jettisoned for any reason that a direct primary involving all 18 million registered members of the party be held. However, their opinion is strongly opposed by Atiku's associates within the party hierarchy who claimed that a direct primary would be cumbersome and costly. Atiku's supporters proposed what it called a Modified Direct Primary that would involve about 20,000 delegates choosing the party candidate. "The decision of our campaign to support the Modified Direct Primary is not because of anything but for its practical applicability. If you say you want direct primary, how can you get all 18 million registered APC voters to take part? That would mean you will be setting up a vote in every polling booth, doing the same thing as INEC is doing. It will be the same thing as a general election. Where do you have the resources, the manpower, the time and the security support for this?" Atiku said. Buhari and his allies who negated the proposal alleged that it would offer opportunity to easily woo or take over delegates hitherto pledged to other aspirants. They claimed that the introduction of full direct primary would limit the prospect of Atiku wooing the delegates unlike a modified primary that could see Atiku and his agents now in the field winning the number of delegates. "Having carefully examined our great party" the APC constitution, especially Article 20 and the Electoral Act 2010, one comes to the inevitable conclusion that it is better to adopt consensus in electing our candidates for House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governor and presidential candidates and where it fails to adopt direct primary," one of Buhari's supporters who did not want his name in print said. It said when one considers the bitterness, rancour and bad blood indirect primary will most likely generate, it was safer to work towards a consensual agreement, adding that more than 80% of the ward, local government area and state congresses which produced the current executives of the party were conducted through consensual arrangement as well as more than 95% of the current National Executive Committee who were also elected via consensus. "We must at all times bear in mind that we are being hunted and that those who boasted to rule Nigeria for 60 years uninterrupted, are still hell bent to scuttle the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians for genuine ideological regime change" he said. It would be recalled that former vice president Atiku Abubakar, on September 24, 2014 formally declare to run for the 2015 presidential election on the platform of APC, while Buhari is yet to officially do so although his posters are already floating in the street of Lagos.

The state chairman of APC, Dr. Davies Ikanya, on Sunday described as ridiculous the President's statement that the PDP will recover Rivers and Edo States from the hands of the APC in the 2015 and 2016 governorship elections. This was contained in a statement issued by his Senior Special Adviser on Media, Chief Chukwuemeka Eze, a copy obtained by Punch. Dr. Ikanya, who stated that Jonathan's assertion was not in line with the realities on ground in Rivers, attributed it to ignorance about the political realities in the state. "The All Progressives Congress, Rivers State chapter, has dismissed as ridiculous the boast by President Goodluck Jonathan that his Peoples Democratic Party will recover the state from the hands of the APC during the 2015 general elections. "This boast made on Saturday by President Jonathan during the PDP's South-South rally in Benin City, the Edo State capital, is ridiculous because it runs counter to the realities on ground in Rivers State. "President Jonathan's boast is obviously based on ignorance about current political realities in Rivers State. He may not have known that the state PDP leader and prospective governorship candidate, Nyesome Wike, has polarised the PDP in Rivers State to the extent that it cannot even win a councillorship seat in a free and fair election.  One of the group member, Peter Okoye claims he can stand Usher on the dance floor after so many years in the choreography business. In an interview with Beat 99.9FM the "Danger" hit maker said his "lost brother" Usher is one of the best when it comes to dance and singing in the world but he can also be beaten on the dance floor by him if the opportunity surfaces.
 "We have danced for a very long time to compete even with the best in the world," Peter said on radio. "Usher is like a mentor, I watched him dance ever since I was young but I can match him now… after dancing for many years."

The beautiful mother of one and a salon owner who has been doing well for herself and looking radiant ever since the break up has made it known to Punch what necessitated her divorce with her former husband. Doris Simeon and her ex husband, Daniel Ademinokan separated in 2010 and divorced soon after. Whilst the actress still lives in Nigeria,the movie director moved with their son to the United States and took with him actress Stella Damasus whom he allegedly married in the heat of all the controversy following the divorce. Doris who has kept mum about the happenings has opened up speaking about how Daniel took their son away without her knowledge after their marriage crashed and the on going court battle on who gets to keep the boy. Here are excerpts from the Interview below: Do you still have time for your programme on DSTV? Yes I do. The Faaji Extra can have many episodes recorded and can run for up to a season or two. Don't forget that I am also an actress and I still carve out time to take on jobs. I would say it is a passion and since I decided to go into acting, I have not looked back. But there are scandals which most actresses cannot avoid? Yes, I know but I developed a thick skin from the first day I came on set. I decided I would not expose my private life to the public but put God first and not allow anything weigh me down. But you must have suffered the pains of fame? Yes, especially when your private life cannot be controlled from infiltration. That is painful, and the media would publish anything that happens to you. The public does not see us as human beings with blood flowing in our veins. kept quiet when you had marital challenges? Yes, I had developed a thick skin and I felt that I could not explain to everyone what happened. If after explaining to everyone and the man did not change, what do I have to gain? Everyone has his or her own ups and downs. How many people was I supposed to run to except to go to God in prayer? Your marriage to Daniel Ademinokan was celebrated as one of the best in the industry… Initially, it was but at a point everything looked rosy outside but not at home. He just woke up one day and decided he didn't want the marriage again. What actually happened? Was there another woman? I can't say what actually happened. I did not suspect if he was dating any woman or not because we were the best of friends. I trusted him too. When the problem started, I was begging him for reconciliation. I am an orphan with nobody to run to but his family members, who also tried to intervene. At a point, they fought with him because he stopped picking their calls, even his pastor. Before the separation, I suggested counselling but he promised to turn around for good. He did not. He would leave the house for some days and would not pick my calls. He also accused me of nagging and policing him around. At a point, he came back and told me it was lack of money that caused the problems. As a good wife, I suggested we pray about it. He told me one day that he wanted to go and see his mother and took our only son with him (the union produced a child). I didn't suspect anything because they usually went out together. That was the last time I saw my then two-year-old son. When was that? That was about four years ago. The boy is six years old now. Did you take any action then? If I let it weigh me down, he would use it as a ground to fight me in court. I have not spoken to the boy for about a year now. I am sure that even if he runs away with my child for 18 years, the boy will ask after me. I am his mother. Currently, the case is in court. Is there room for reconciliation? I am not ready to reconcile with him. Why? It is going to four years since we split and I do not see anything wrong in that. Maybe because of the things he said when I sought to reconcile. I wanted reconciliation when the whole thing started but he said it was too late. He never said what the problem was. It was a normal hassle between couples. If he says I cannot force him into a marriage that he is no longer interested in, why would he want to come back now? But the custody of your child… People live separately and still have children. The child is with him and they are abroad but he does not have custody of the child. I don't want to talk about it because the case is in court. Do you have access to the child? At the moment, I do not have access to the child because they are not in the country. But I want to leave it for the court to judge. After then, whatever the court says I should do, I would do it. Now separated, do men still ask you out? At the very beginning when it all started, I had men coming but I felt they just wanted to take advantage of the whole issue. At that particular time, I did not want it too. I wanted to focus on my life and career. I also wanted to shame the enemy and make him know that I do not rely on a particular man to make it in life. I am not a lazy woman either. But the incidence must have taken its toll on you? Yes, it did initially because I loved him. It broke me down for about a year but I decided one day to move on. I learnt from my mum not to listen to what people say but maintain focus and I did. Do you still communicate? At the moment, because of the court case, we don't. He initiated the court case, sent me divorce papers but when my lawyer saw it, he discovered it was fake! That made me initiate my own divorce case too. Where and how did you meet him? We met at a movie location. He was a movie director. Do you want to remarry? I have moved on with my life. If marriage comes I will get married, if it does not come, I will remain single but I have some plans. Before my marriage problems, I have always had it in mind to help humanity. It is one of the things I am trying to do very soon. I want to help young widows who are suffering. Who is Doris Simeon? I was born and bred in Lagos. That is why I can speak Yoruba, but I am from Edo State. I am from a polygamous home and the second of my mother but the third child of my father. I am a quiet person. How was your journey into acting? I got into acting through friends, who invited me for auditions. I missed the first and second Papa Ajasco comedy auditions. It was on the Papa Ajasco set that I saw Late Yomi Ogunmola who brought me into the Yoruba movie industry. That was about 15 years ago. How have you fared? It has been sweet and sour. I had to pay my dues from the beginning. I did a lot of jobs for free because I was just upcoming. Those were the non-profit sides of the industry. But when you become a star, they would beg you with money to be part of their production. Acting has opened a lot of opportunities for me and I thank God. How fashionable are you? I don't really have any particular code. I just wear something I feel comfortable in. My dress and styling depends on the event I am attending.
