2015 Election: Atiku Promises Nigerians Change

As the 2015 general elections draws closer with each passing day, politicians and political parties are stepping up their game.
As aspirants jostle to clinch the presidential ticket in their various parties to contest for the post of President in the forthcoming 2015 elections, the campaign video for former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been officially released.
In the video which was uploaded on Youtube, Atiku lays bare his campaign's focuses which are strong leadership, qualitative education, security, building a vibrant economy and more.
Atiku who belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to jostle for the presidential ticket alongside several political heavyweights in his party such as former military Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).
Meanwhile, in an interactive session with journalists yesterday, September 22, in Lagos, Atiku urged Nigerians to see him as a brand new politician refined to transform the country, Leadership reports.
He explained that his time away from power has given him the ample opportunity to study the challenges rocking the nations and measures needed to solve the problems.
He said: "As I have already indicated, I will be offering myself as a candidate under the platform of my party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
"If anything, I want you to see me as a new Atiku. I was in government from 1999 to 2007 and I always thank my God that it did not continue. I have had a break. That break has enabled me to interact with ordinary Nigerians, listen to them and know what they want. Probably if I had continued and become the president, I wouldn't have been the new Atiku that I am now."

Recall that Atiku Abubakar had said that he is more experienced than President Goodluck Jonathan in the field of running the country.
Atiku served as the 2nd elected Vice-President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), with President Olusegun Obasanjo.
