Yobo’s wife hits back at critics for dissing her family over World Cup exit

Adaeze Yobo is standing firmly behind her hubby after critics took to social media to throw insults at her family after the Super Eagles skipper scored an own goal in their World Cup game against France. Photo: Instagram
 Adaeze Yobohas tougher skin that we thought; the wife of the recently retired Super Eagles skipper Joseph Yobohas lashed back at the many critics who've insulted her family and blamed her hubby for the team's recent loss at the World Cup.
 Nigeria was knocked out of the second round after suffering a defeat against France. Les Blues won by two goals to nil thanks to two late goals – the first from french midfielderPaul Pogbaand an own goal from Joseph Yobo. Shortly after the match, Nigerians took to social media to express their disappointment in Yobo…on his wife's Twitter and Instagram pages.
 Adaeze, not having it, wrote back with a post;
 'All you hateful people that didn't even realise it was own goal at first heck, most of y'll didn't even watch that last minute part of the match that's if Nepa gave you light to watch the game at all but as soon as they confirmed it was own goal by yobo' Y'all be like…let's go ham on his wife (that bitch)', she wrote
 She then added;

 The 33-year-old became the first Nigerian to play 100 international matches but his day ended on a sour note with an own goal in added time againstLes Bleus.
 "It was a bittersweet moment for me but I think it is time to focus on my family," Yobo told reporters. "It has been a long road."
 Yobo made his debut with the Super Eagles in 2001 but became a mainstay of the team during the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.
 Coach Stephen Keshi has also resigned from his position as the team's head coach.
 "I have to go back to my family and face fresh challenges," Keshi said to reporters.
 It is rumored Keshi is going to take up the coaching job of the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
 Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama could also be on his way out, as he told reporter Colin Udoh, "this could be my last game."

The veteran singer, who plans to marry his civil partner David Furnish next year in a "very quiet" ceremony, told Sky News that in his view, Jesus would accept it because he was "all about love and compassion".
 He claimed that rules preventing gay priests from marrying and requiring Catholic priests to be celibate were "old and stupid"."If Jesus was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen, " he told Sky News.He was all about love and compassion and forgiveness and trying to bring people together and that is what the church should be about.
 He praised Pope Francis for making the Catholic Church more about "inclusiveness", saying that this "has to be encouraged by the Church of England as well".
 He described the pontiff as a "wonderful" man whose tolerance was an example to the Church.
 "The new Pope has been wonderful, he's excited me so much," Sir Elton said.
 "He's stripped it [the Church] down to the bare bones and said it's all basically about love."
 Sir Elton previously courted controversy on the subject in 2010 when he declared that Jesus was gay, telling a magazine: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

 According to SaharaReporters, the militants, dressed in military camouflage, stormed the three villages from 8:45 a.m. when many Christians were at Sunday services. One source said the militants arrived in the villages in a convoy of sports utility vehicles and unleashed terror on villagers for several hours.
 Their killing spree reportedly lasted till 12:30 p.m.
 Ibrahim Musa, a resident of Kautikari village, told SR correspondent that the attackers "locked
 worshipers inside the EYN Church and sprayed bullets on them." He disclosed that the terrorist group killed nine worshipers and later set the church ablaze.
 Mr. Musa said the Islamist terrorists killed 38 people in Kwada village and nine in Nguragila village. He added that the attackers set fire to the EYN Church, the Deeper Life Church, and the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN). In addition, the terrorists burned numerous homes.
 Manaseh Allen, a Chibok-based youth leader, also confirmed today's coordinated attacks on the three villages.
 "There is confusion everywhere in the Chibok area,"he said, adding, "If the attackers could succeed in day time, what if they come in the night?" He urged the federal government to redouble its commitment to combating terrorism.He remarked that the three besieged villages are between 10 and 15 kilometers from Chibok, the location where Boko Haram militants seized more than 300 schoolgirls on April 14. More than 200 of the schoolgirls are yet to be rescued.

 Manchester United are stepping up their bid for William Carvalho , who was linked with Chelsea over the weekend. Portuguese website Zerozero.pt report that United representatives are in Portugal to attempt to close a deal for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, who has now returned home from the World Cup.
 Carvalho was linked over the weekend with Chelsea by The Mirror , with Jose Mourinho claimed to be a big admirer. Whether this has sparked United into action is unclear, but they appear to have made the first move in terms of attempting to negotiate.
 Liverpool attempt double deal for Lallana and Origi
 TheLiverpool Echo report that the Reds are aiming to secure a double deal for Adam Lallana and Divock Origi. The paper report that Lallana completed his medical over the weekend, after a fee of £23 million plus add-ons was agreed. Lallana will be the second big name out of Southampton this week, and allow new manager Ronald Koeman to move ahead with a spending spree of his own. He will also be Liverpool's most expensive signing of the summer so far.
 Liverpool are also in talks to sign Divock Origi of Lille, who has impressed during the World Cup with Belgium, out-performing Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku. The Echo report however that the two clubs are yet to agree a fee, while Tottenham are also claimed to be interested.
 Southampton want £20m for Arsenal target Schneiderlin
 Arsenal have been linked again with Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, but The Mirror report the Saints want £20 million for his signature. The Gunners' interest is a case of bad timing with Southampton already securing big money for Shaw and seemingly Lallana, and value the Schneiderlin as a similarly integral part of last season's success. The midfielder is currently on international duty with France, making a first World Cup start for Les Bleus in the draw with Ecuador.

And according to a psychiatric panel and a psychologist, Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, who is facing charges of murdering his girlfriend, is not mentally ill.
 Reading from the psychologist report, one of two reports that said the star runner should be held criminally responsible, State Prosecutor Gerrie Nel said:
 "Mr Pistorus did not suffer from a mental illness or defect that would have rendered him
 criminally not responsible for the offence charged."The star sprinter has tried to argue that a "generalised anxiety disorder" contributed to him shooting dead his 29-year-old model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day last year. Oscar admits shooting Steenkamp with a 9mm pistol through a locked toilet door, but says it was a mistake as he thought she was an intruder coming to attack him in the dead of night.

Find excerpts below; ¤Concerning Women >Fortunately for me, I got married at the age of 21 in 1983 when my wife was 20 years old. Then I was just being made the captain of the team, I believe that limited my dating different girls. And because of the decision I took of marrying early, I lost some of my friends. They were not happy with my decision but it didn't bother me because it was what I wanted. Though as a footballer you have many admirers, for me, that is all it is. ¤Concerning his decision to marry @ 21 >My decision to marry at a very tender age was influenced by a coach in the then New Nigerian Bank Football Club, who told me that I could be a better player, if I could get a wife or somebody I could hook up with or else I would get carried away by the way girls flocked around me. He said I would not last long in my football career if I continued with girls around me all the time. I thought it wise and I took to his words and since then, it has been wonderful with my wife, though tough. But marrying somebody you truly love, is a good thing, really she is truly a God-sent to me. So far the marriage has fetched us five children, two boys and three girls. ¤On Meeting his wife >Yes, it was love at first sight. My wife and I didn't date for long, before we got married. When I saw her, I knew she was my wife. I told her that she was my girl and I wanted to marry her, she was so surprised but later accepted, then we fell seriously in love and we still are till today. I just got back from the States two weeks ago. But we have never been apart before expect when Nigeria called me in 2009 to assist Bonferer Jo, that was when I started going outside without my family. ¤On his social life >I don't go clubbing, I did that when I was a footballer, but if I'm in Nigeria I like watching African movies. When I'm in the USA I watch foreign movies, but I like reading a lot, especially inspirational books that reflects on our day to day life

You can read the complete post there but here are excerpts. I have always found it hard to believe that some human beings were merely created by God to cause others discomfort, grief and pain. I cannot fathom any reason a person created by God should behave so barbarically as to take the life of his fellow human being. But recent events in the world, particularly Nigeria, have caused me to have a re-think. Are you not a witness to the atrocities going on all over Nigeria? From east to west, north to south, the story is the same. To some people, life is not worth anything anymore. They kill and maim as easily as they gulp a glass of wine. This is how brutish life has become in Nigeria. Worried by this development, I sat through the weekend of last week pondering the sad events that have occurred in recent times and how much impact they have had on the psyche of those that have fallen victims. #The first question that came to my mind was why should God deliberately create such evil-doers to populate the world and possibly thwart his plans for humanity? #That question quickly led to another: Where do we go from here at the end of our earthly journey? I wonder if there is anybody that can assuredly provide the answer to this question. Each of us must account for our deeds: good or bad. While my mind wandered as I searched for an answer to the foregoing questions another one cropped up: #For what shall we be remembered when we come to the end of life? How will our page in the annals of life be written? In attempting to answer the last question my mind veered off to the atrocities committed by such despots as Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Idi Amin, etc. There were some people the world had thought would never die considering their looming presence while alive. But contrary to the expectations and imaginations of men they still went the way of all mortals. I am compelled to ask another question: #Why do some people behave as if they would never die? In finding answer to this question my mind strayed to the encounter between the Israelites and Pharaoh in the Exodus. Despite all the amazing things Moses did in the presence of Pharaoh his mind was hardened and he refused to let the people of Israel go. He pursued them unto his own destruction. The operable word here is 'hardened'. It is the refusal to submit to the will of God that causes people to harden their hearts. This can also be described as insensitivity. Insensitivity is responsible for many of the atrocities leaders commit. A leader sensitive to the sensibility of his people will never do anything antithetical to their interest. Is insensitivity responsible for insincerity in leadership? Is it also responsible for some people saying one thing and doing another? Is it also to be blamed for the wanton destruction of innocent lives going on in our country today? Can we, therefore, safely conclude that the evils that occur in our land today are caused by insensitive people? Otherwise how could a person ever think of taking another person's life without even blinking or having a modicum of conscience? Killings have become some people's pastime in our clime. The stories we read daily are sometimes too preposterous to believe. There are no longer boundaries or respect for the sanctity of life. Even blood relationships mean nothing to some people anymore. The recent story of a herbalist who killed a 68-year-old retired female Customs Officer that had gone to him for prayers to conceive and bear a child was horrifying. To show the depth of hardheartedness our nation has sunk, the culprit did not betray any emotions or remorse as he spoke on national television. He did not see anything wrong in killing a woman and her daughter who had gone to him for solace. Before the bubble burst he had fleeced the woman of millions of naira in cash and property. Some people acquire wealth at all costs, even at the detriment of their own lives. The wealth we acquire means nothing if it does not affect society positively. Evil cannot be allowed to continue to thrive in our land, when we can do something to put a stop to it. The stigma Nigeria is gradually acquiring is that of notoriety. Which is why I have asked: How much is life worth in Nigeria? We cannot make any meaningful progress as a nation if the safety of lives and properties is not guaranteed. There is also an urgent need to do something about the family and its role in national development. Those that kill and maim their fellow citizens definitely come from families. There is some disconnect between the family and society, causing some imbalance between the two. It is this imbalance that is responsible for the wantonness of the ills that plague our nation. To deal with the increasing incidence of anti-society activities we have to consider a number of solutions. First, we need to redirect the consciousness of the families to begin to play their assigned roles in nation-building. Family traditions, norms and values should be re-established to serve as a moral compass for the families. The government has a huge role to play. It should introduce courses that will help develop the child from kindergarten right up to the University. The idea is to gradually build confidence in the child and orient it to the direction it should go. It is wrong to try to reorient a person when he is already grown. There is also the need for the citizenry to be more alive to their civic duties by shunning corruption, immorality and slothfulness. They must expose those who make life unbearable for them, and by so doing avoid falling victims themselves. There is a popular slogan among New Yorkers: see something, say something. Ills thrive in our nation because many of us see what is wrong and do nothing to expose it. If we exposed evil-doers our society will be better for it. Those who kill or maim are no spirits – they are human beings living among us. When we reveal their identity and fail to create safe havens for them, then it will not be long before they lose steam and give up their evil ways. It is only when this has been achieved that life can be worth living in Nigeria. Till that happens, I can never stop asking: How much is life worth in Nigeria?

 After that I became so light skinned but wanted to be lighter and ended up taking up to 6.Now I'm so light that my old school mates can't recognize me.They didn't tell me I have to keep maintaining it over the years ..
 When I got lighter, many men were chasing me and didn't know my yellow was bleaching yellow..Now, I met a man who I've been dating for 4 months and he really loves me and has proposed to marry me..
 Just last week, he was telling me how he hates women who bleach and that his friend married a yellow lady only to discover their child was so black.He thought she cheated on him and almost divorced her till she confessed the child was so dark because that was her real colour..My family have advised me to tell him the truth now before he finds out later..I have deceived him for long because even when he asked for my throw back pictures, I photo-shopped them to look lighter ..
 Please should I confess to him that I'm a bleacher or just let him marry me first ..

My Husband Made Me Sleep With A Male Colleague Last Week

I have a problem and I need advice from fellow readers of your blog. I got married to my husband in the year 2011 and our marriage has been consummated with a girl child. Our marriage was working smoothly until my husband got an offshore job to work with an oil servicing firm based in port Harcourt last year June. Ever since then, he hardly comes home. Most times he comes home just for the weekend once in two months and even when he comes he hardly touches me. I have spoken to him about this and he keeps telling me it's because of the stressful nature of his work. Continue below.
 I am tired of having to tend to the baby at night alone and things got a head last week when ho.rmo'nes got the better of me and I ended up sleeping with a male colleague of mine at work.
 Ever since this incident, I have been contemplating divorce because my husband led me into this shameful act.
 I would have loved to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt to be with him but he claims he works offshore most of the time.

KIM KARDASHIAN’S EX-GARDENER SUES BABY NORTH WEST FOR 1 MILLION DOLLARS

The infant daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian,Baby North West has allegedly landed into trouble as a man identified as Chris Donnelly filed a 1 million dollar federal lawsuit against Baby North West and mother Kim, accusing North West of being a spoiled little brat who made one man's life a living hell .
 It might interest you to know that the man in question claimed to have been a former groundskeeper for Kanye and Kim.
 According to MediaTakeOut– He claims in court docs that baby North West is a spoiled brat who constantly screamed so loud his hearing was damaged. Further … while working with the family he says that North West spit baby food on him and threw a diaper at him … which caused him to fall into a pool and nearly drown. He claimed to have suffered emotional distress due to the incident.
 Donnelly also states a family member told him if he didn't like how North West acted that she would punish him by making him shine shoes for dirt cheap. He even says if the family doesn't pay him 1 million dollars he will go to the press and expose everything that happened to him while working for the family
 However …. the judge in the case came back on June 25th and sided with Kim, Kanye & West … claiming the man cannot sue for the allegations he stated and that they are dismissing the case.
 It's not clear whether the man now plans on releasing the alleged damaging information to the press. But if he is . . . we're DEFINITELY LISTENING.

The husband has come out to say that he is not happy at the way reports that have been spreading these past weeks following his wife's death. He had pleaded for the privacy of the family to be respected in these "trying times."
 In a release signed by his publicist, Chilee Agunanna, Don-Momoh said he would have to return home to Nigeria first and be on ground to receive the body of his wife.He also revealed the arrangements of the burial, according to the statement he said he was finalizing the required paperwork before Kefee's body could be flown from the U.S. to Nigeria and "once those are done, more details of the burial plans would be released."
 TeddyEsosa Don Momoh, Husband of lateKefeeObareki,said that Kefee's family had requested that she be buried in her hometown, Okpara-Inland, Ethiope East Local Government, Edo State with a celebratory service in Sapele afterwards and that he was comfortable with that.

 Marrow has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless conduct.He was also hit with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of a stolen firearm.
 He is currently in custody, according to TMZ.com.

The New York Post heavily criticized President Goodluck Jonathan's Washington Post 'Op-Ed' editorial. Their rebuke, titled 'Goodluck Nigeria,' took aim at what they called 'newspaper diplomacy.' In a story that came to light in the Washington-based, and Congress focused weekly magazine called THE HILL, it was revealed that Jonathan's administration had hired a PR Firm for $1.2 million to help clean up the government's image ( Check here for full details). Within days of that disclosure the Nigerian president wrote the Washington Post Op-Edthat painted a sympathetic portrait of his ongoing 'quiet fight' with the Boko Haram. Here is the New York Post's scathing editorial below: When in April the Islamist group Boko Haram abducted nearly 300 girls from their school in northeast Nigeria, it commanded global attention and sparked a #BringBackOurGirls movement. But the girls are still missing. The campaign seems to have moved from hashtag demands to newspaper column diplomacy. On Friday, The Washington Post carried an op-ed by no less than the president of Nigeria himself, Goodluck Jonathan. In it he wrote, "Something positive can come out of [this situation] in Nigeria." He says, "Most important, the return of the Chibok girls, but also new international cooperation to deny havens to terrorists and destroy their organizations." And he says he's going to ask the UN General Assembly to establish and coordinate a system to share intelligence, etc. Remember, this is the same leader whose military initially claimed it had freed the girls, whose wife's anger was directed at Nigerians protesting the government's inaction rather than the kidnappers and who presides over Africa's largest economy and fourth-largest armed forces. Meanwhile, this week Boko Haram kidnapped another 90 Nigerian children and set off a massive bomb in the heart of the nation's capital. Apparently the government's secret plan to get the girls back — which President Jonathan says he has to "remain quiet about" — isn't much impressing them.

Reports say Charly Boy who wore a sullen and agonising look throughout the funeral mass, got up immediately the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha was called to make his speech and aggressively snatched the microphone from the Governor. That he almost fought the Governor for attempting to make his speech at the occasion. This happened shortly after the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, who represented President Goodluck Jonathan, barely finished reciting the President's condolence message. The intervention of the presiding Priest and Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, could not mitigate Charlyboy's anger as he insisted that no politician would take advantage of his father's burial to score "cheap political" goals. Charley Boy had also, during a day of tribute organised by Imo State government recently, walked out on the Imo state Governor when he climbed the podium to make his speech. Consequently the visibly angry Okorocha, stormed out of the Church in the company of his Commissioners and security aides and was besieged at the gate by angry supporters, who berated Charly Boy for humiliating the Governor. Meanwhile, the Imo State government has released a statement reacting to Charlyboy's actions. Part of it reads: It is highly regrettable that the son of the late Justice, Mr Charles Emeka Oputa, aka, Charley Boy threw caution to the wind and turned the church service into a political theater that saw him acting or playing out the script he drafted in Abuja with some Imo politicians who have remained cowed by the overwhelming popularity of Governor Rochas Okorocha. The Imo State governor had worked together with Mr. Charly Boy both when the late Justice was sick, until the time he died and the preparation for the burial which also encouraged the state governor to make substantial financial input and also organised a special day of tribute for the late Justice at the expense of state government with Charley Boy also present with other members of the family. This is why the sudden change of character by Charlyboy at the church service, in which case he insisted that the Governor would not talk as protocol demanded could not be understood. Except he was acting out a script handed over to him by some of the gubernatorial aspirants from the state who might have been rattled by the thunderous ovation that greeted the Governor by the crowd when he was first introduced. At a function like that, protocol demands that the state Governor should talk before any other speaker to welcome the invitees but Senator Anyim representing the President was first called to speak. Perhaps because of the Governor's Okorocha's popularity, the few politicians from the state in Abuja who are desperate to capture power in the state saw a willing tool in Charlyboy for them to ensure the Governor will not speak. We condemn that ugly incident and also wish to advise politicians from the state to stop heating up the polity over power since God is the giver of power. In 2015, God will decide who will be governor of Imo State and when God decides that, there is nothing anybody can do about it. And for Charlyboy, we ask God to bless him.  According to PREMIUM TIMES, Villagers in Chibok made a distress call to journalists and security operatives in Maiduguri calling for urgent help.
 A text message sent by a resident at about 9:30 a.m. reads; "Massive attack on Kautikari now. All security agencies should be notified, and call for divine help now."
 An official of Department of Security Service confirmed the ongoing attack to PREMIUM TIMES but asked not to be named.
 "Yes, we also received the report, I believe action is being taken about now…but no one has been able to ascertain the nature or magnitude of the attack for now", said the security source.
