The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board has reportedly banned the screen adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie's award-winning novel,Half Of A Yellow Sun.
The movie was reportedly banned because of its focus, which is the Nigerian Civil War, and the fear that it might incite tribal sentiments, especially the ones that lead to the war.
Half of a Yellow Sunwas directed by Biyi Bandele and is a love story that follows two sisters who are caught up in the outbreak of the Nigerian Civil War and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Onyeka Onwenu, Genevieve Nnaji and OC Ukeje.
