Technically Arbor Day is over – it was on April 25 – but Pornhub is still celebrating the tree-planting holiday with its new initiative, "Pornhub Gives America Wood" (we see what you did there Pornhub! According to the site's safe for work page, for one week Pornhub will plant one tree for every 100 videos watched in the "big dick" category. A porn-streaming site and their endowed stars are the new environmentalists, go figure.
Props to Pornhub's initiative (guilt-free porn watching for everyone!), but as Daily Dot points out while we see the number of porn viewers "planting trees," there's no substantive information on where the trees will be planted and which organizations will benefit.
There's also the fact that there's a limit on the amount of videos one can watch on Pornhub daily before being forced into a membership. So while you're helping out mother Earth, she also wants you to pay up. Sneaky.
Either way, as of 12PM today, over 12k trees have been planted. Who knew the key to a greener tomorrow would be porn?!
