Vanguard show you several people scooping fuel
from vandalized pipelines that had become a pool of
fuel in that area. Women, men and teenagers are seen
busy scooping their own portion of fuel into their kegs
ready for sale or home use.
They are residents of Ijegun Imoren, Oriade Local
Council Development Area of Lagos State who have
thrown caution to the wind risking their own lives. Is
this action a result of poverty or outright
foolishness? Please officials should do something
before something negative happens.
It would be recalled that 6 years ago , a pipeline fire
killed several people and destroyed property worth
millions of Naira at Ijegun
