Pastor Chimezie was said to have given a prophecy that allegedly led to the death of a sick woman from Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, who came to his church
to seek solution for her ill health.
The woman, in company of her relations went to Mount Zion Deliverance Church to seek solution over her poor health and the revelation made by Pastor Chimezie was said to have brought great shock to her, leading to her collapse and instant death in the church.
The Pastor was said to have told the woman that one of the close relations simply called Sunday, who had been catering for her and had sponsored her to the church for solution was the one causing her health problems.
The relations of the woman, doubted the Pastor because Sunday was a close relative who has being of good support to the woman. When the news reached Sunday, he rushed to the church to carry the woman out but before he got there, the woman was dead already.
Sunday beseeched the Church Pastor to explain the proof of the prophetic revelation but the frightened pastor denied ever saying so.
When the case was reported to the police, Pastor Chimezie was arrested and detained at Police SARS Office in Awkuzu.
Pastor Chimezie, who was given five minutes by the police to speak to the newsmen at the time of the arrest, denied making such prophecy "I only prayed for the women, my hands are clean" but those in the church said he made the prophecy which resulted to the collapse of the woman.
When contacted, the Anambra Command police Public Relations Officer, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka (DSP) confirmed hearing it but said that the full details of the report has not been forwarded to his office.
