Former Minister of Environment Laurentia Laraba Mallam Kidnapped Alongside Her Husband

Mrs Laurentia Laraba Mallam, the immediate past minister of environment, has been abducted by unknown gunmen alongside her husband in the Kagarko local government area of Kaduna State.
The pair were kidnapped on Monday en route Kaduna from Abuja and eyewitnesses claim that the driver of the car conveying the honourable minister and her 73-year-old husband, Mr Pius in Jere, was shot on his left hand by the gunmen.
Newswire claims that sources close to the family have revealed a demand for N10 million as ransom by the abductors to secure the release Mrs Laurentia Laraba Mallam and her husband.
The police was yet to comment on the news of the abduction as at the time of reporting.
