Reigning Miss Honduras, Maria Jose Alvarado who went missing days before she was due to travel to London for the 2014 edition of the Miss World beauty pageanthas been found dead.
Maria, who was declared missing along with her sister, Sofia Alvarado, after attending a birthday party on Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Santa Barbara, California, was found dead today and buried today, November 19, 2014 in a remarkably dark episode that would tug at the hearts of many for a long time.
According to Police reports, both women found dead in a village called Cablotales, near the River Aguagua reportedly shot dead and buried.
Two men identified asPlutarco Ruiz, andAris Maldonado have been detained as likely masterminds of the tragic killing of the ladies.
Maria Jose Alvarado was crowned Miss Honduras 2014 on April 26, 2014 at an event that held at San Pedro Sula, Cortes.
