The SC Bastia striker was originally banned for six months plus a fine of £16,000 by the french football authority, but the sentence was later regarded as a violent action and the sentence was changed to a month in prison. His lawyer pleaded that he serves his term through community service and not jail.
There has been a bit of successful curbing of football violence lately, so i guess Brandao deserves his sentence or even more, in my opinion.
