Students Abia State Polytechnic And 3 Others Crushed to Death in Aba!

A sad loss indeed, as a truck crushed several people, and injured a few others at the Ikot Ekpene road in Aba.
Eyewitness claim that the truck which possibly failed break, lost control running over the adjoining lane before crashing into tricycle coming from the opposite direction, then into a crowded newspaper stand!
A final year student of the Abia state Polytechnic and an unfortunate man
at the newspaper stand were among those that died. In addition, the tricycle rider as well as one of his passengers were crushed and died on the spot! The bodies of the dead victims were crushed beyond recognition as sympathizers thronged the scene.
The truck which was being driven by an apprentice, one Mr Marizu Nwankpa, has been siezed and the owner detained at the Eziama Police station, in Aba.
