Yola, Adamawa State – Masked Nigerian Army soldiers today stormed the Jimeta Shopping Complex in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State, arresting 17 suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist sect.
The shopping mall accommodates 500 shops and stores, and, according to residents of the area, has become a haven of some sorts for armed hooldums.
According to eyewitnesses, the soldiers entered the shopping mall at about 1 p.m., arresting their targets. Those arrested allegedly include men of the Civilian Joint Task Force, a vigilante organization that is supposed to assist the Nigerian military in their operations against Boko Haram.
