“‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’ Not Banned, Release Date Postponed” – Producers

Shareman Media and FilmOne Distribution, the local producer and distributors for screenplayHalf Of A Yellow Sun, have moved to squash reports that the movie has been banned by the Nigerian Film & Video Censors Board.
A statement from them reads,

"The highly anticipated release of Half of a Yellow Sun in Nigeria has been postponed due to delays in obtaining certification from the Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board for the public release of the film. Subject to obtaining the certification of the Board, the film is now rescheduled for release on 2ndMay 2014."
