On Friday, Twitter will celebrate its eighth year of existence – can you believe we’ve been RT’ing 140 characters or less for eight whole years already? Do you feel old yet?!  As an early present to users worldwide (and appropriately, just in time for #TBT) Twitter has unveiled #FirstTweet, a tool that digs up every active user’s first 140 characters sent out to the world.
#FirstTweet, the best and worst type of time travel, only gets realer once you move on to searching celebrity accounts, where some celebs’ first ever tweets range from messages clearly written by PR handlers to thirsty tweets that’ll make you feel terrible for your favorite star (ding ding! if you guessed Lindsay Lohan.) In celebration of Twitter’s launch day, here’s a quick blast from the tweeting past of your favorite celebrities:
