Abolore Akande better known as 9ice, has lost at the APC primaries and will not be seeking to represent the Ogbomosho North/Ogbomosho South/Orire Federal Constituency come 2015,at least not under the banner of the All Progressive Congress.
9ice lost the ticket to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi, the son of an Ogbomoso high chief who is also legal practitioner. 9ice managed a total number of 142 votes while Akeem reportedly got a total of 270 votes. It is a fatal blow to the singer's plan to represent his people at the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja.
With the loss of his party's ticket, the Gongo Aso star has joined other entertainers like Kate Henshaw, Kenny Saint Best and Dayo Adeneyewho all lost out at their respective parties' primaries.
