According to hiphopdx
"Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant recently shed some light on Tha Carter V, an album said to be the last solo LP from the New Orleans rapper. Contrary to the information Young Money artist Drake revealed at a show last month, Bryant says Tha Carter V will not be released on May 5 and merely offered a "you'll see" in regards to the project's possible release date.

"You know I push dates back and shit. So, I'm not gonna release that date. I'm not gonna release that date til I really, really, really know what it really, really, really is. Pay attention this week," Bryant said while speaking with NeverNotDopeTV.
While performing at the House Of Blues in New Orleans in mid-February, Drake informed those in attendance that Tha Carter V would be released on May 5.
"You wanna hear Lil Wayne at his best," Drake said in a video posted by motahiphop.com. "If you wanna hear Young Money at they best, I mean it's Carter V May 5. Just know we about this shit for real."
Lil Wayne has yet to announce a date for the album, but has commented on the kind of content fans can expect on the final installment in Tha Carter series. During an interview with MTV earlier this month, Wayne stated that he would be "more careful" with Tha Carter V content-wise."
