Samsung has finally announced the release of their long anticipated Galaxy Note 10.1. The larger Note is expected to hit shelves worldwide sometime this month. Samsung has made some fantastic improvements on the larger Note, like a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor and 2GB of RAM. We had recently been able to view an unboxing by The Brave Post, but starting in August the tablet will be available in the United States, United Kingdom, Korea and Germany (other markets to follow).
Some of the most noticeable improvements to the Note's larger form-factor include a stylus slot and expandable micro-SD, for up to an additional 64GB of memory. Consumers can also expect to see Smart Stay, Samsung's eye-detection feature which was first found in the Galaxy SIII, and "multiscreen" support for built-in apps including: Polaris Office, S Note, Video Player, Gallery, and Email.
Samsung has also been rumored to be announcing the Galaxy Note II at their upcoming press conference on August 15th in NYC. The new version of the highly successful phablet has recently been making its rounds on the internet rumor-mill and we look forward to seeing what Samsung has in store for the second gen release.
Update
The Galaxy Note 10.1 hits shelves on August 16th carrying a price tag of $499 for the 16GB device and $549 for it's 32GB counterpart.
