The blogger has been directed to remove a post published about the Nollywood actress and filmmaker by Legal Aficionados, Funke's lawyers who also demand a retraction of the alleged false story within 24hrs of receiving their mail.
However, NET investigations revealed that as at the time of publishing this, Linda is yet to comply with any of the directives. The story is still on her blog and she has made no effort to either delete the story or retract.
A post by Linda on Sunday, January 24 titled: 'Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu had allegedly ascribed an unrelated picture posted by Funke as a mockery of the rumoured collapse of fellow actress, Toyin Aimakhu's marriage to hubby,Adeniyi Johnson. The story led several people into directing their anger at Funke through harsh comments and judgment on social media.
According to Legal Aficionados, Linda went too far in the post described as 'malicious, tantamount to digging up controversy about the actress, and designed to create tension and unhealthy rivalry between two afore cordial colleagues.'
Recall that just days ago, Funke stated that she holds no grudge against the media and has nothing to hide. And as it is, the stage might be set for litigation. We will keep you posted on events as they develop.
