We can understand using skype to communicate with friends, loved ones, to conduct business transactions but when you use it to rule a kingdom of over 200,000 people, then you indeed are a good king. King Togbe Ngoryifia Céphas Kosi Bansah, the 66-year-old king of the Hohoe area of southeastern Ghana, made a quantum leap in use of technology by governing his people via Skype.
The Independent reports , King Bansah once moved to Germany to attend school as a foreign exchange student, then he met and fell in love with a woman named Gabrielle, who is now his lovely wedded wife and he decided not to come back home.
Upon the death of his grandfather in 1987, he became the King. Sources says "he was chosen over his elder brother and father because both are left-handed, an attribute that his people believe is unclean and indicative of dishonesty."
Bansah who runs a garage in Germany, is often staying awake all night to rule and settle tribal disputes between the people of Hohoe via Skype and telephone calls, .
He became headline news when thief entered him home in Ludwigshafen, and carted away most of his royal regalia, including his crowns and golden chains his grandparents once owned. The stolen items were valued at £15,900.
