Mr. Eke Nweke, a retired Custom officer, has committed suicide at the Ngwaiyiekwe Community in Abia State. Folks at 247ureports claim Nweke, first attempted suicide in Port Harcourt, before he was relocated to his in-law's town, where he used a locally made pistol to shoot himself, and died before he could get medical attention. The ex-custom officer, who is a native of Item in Bende LGA took his in-law's family unawares, as he quietly left the house with a pistol and shot himself before they could wake up in the morning.
The deceased, who was described as an easy-going man did not leave a suicide note or disclose any matter troubling him which may have led him into committing suicide.
The locally made pistol was handed over to Ugwunagbo Police Station who are said to be investigating the incident.
